Our Programs

Working with a network of health professionals, weathercasters, land managers and teachers, we create and leverage public-private partnerships to promote daily actions for helping people live well while protecting and enjoying nature.

Classroom Earth

The goal of Classroom Earth is to increase the environmental literacy of high school students and to provide models for including environmental education into all high school classrooms – from biology to art. The program will launch two interactive Web sites – one exclusively for students, the other for teachers. Through national competitions the program will also highlight student-designed school and community environmental projects.

Health & Environment

The Health & Environment Program advances environmental knowledge among health professionals to improve the public's health with a special emphasis on children and underserved populations.

Earth Gauge

Earth Gauge increases public knowledge by bringing environmental information into American homes through TV weathercasters.

National Public Lands Day

National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest hands-on volunteer effort to improve and enhance the public lands American's enjoy.

National Environmental Education Week

EE Week is an annual event full of learning and activities in K-12 classrooms, nature centers, zoos, museums, and aquariums.

Business & Environment

The Business & Environment Program is the leading information resource on how to align environmental responsibility with business success.


 

Environmentally-minded teens now have their own social networking site. The National Environmental Education Foundation, in partnership with The Weather Channel, launched Planet Connect, a site where green teens can share ideas with their peers, learn about green careers and college programs and more.
