The Health and Environment program's Children and Nature Initiative was featured on Nurse.com, the website for NursesWeek and Nursing Spectrum Magazine. Maura Porricolo, RN, DrNP (shown, left), a pediatric nurse practitioner at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, said she was excited to take part. Recognizing Outstanding Educators
For National Teacher Appreciation Week, NEEF is recognizing leading environmental educators. This year, our Richard C. Bartlett Environmental Education Award winners include Susy Ellison of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and merit winners Jill Semlick of Portland, Oregon and Jill Krysinski of Chicago, Illinois. All three outstanding high school teachers inspire students and colleagues with their passion, energy and ingenuity. Read the release.
